About Us
Launched in 2014, FK1 Design Ltd undertake Architectural design works to all types of buildings including domestic extensions, conversions, new build houses, commercial buildings, garden buildings. We carry out concept design, Planning and Building Warrant applications as well as on-site technical inspections.
The business owner, Barry Sturrock has nearly 20 years practical experience in both the private and public sectors. Barry also has an Honours Degree in Architectural Technology from Edinburgh Napier University.
WHAT WE DO
Initial Meeting
The first step is to meet with you and sit round the table with a cuppa to discuss your ideas and design brief as well as providing our in-depth design experience.
We will follow this up with a detailed fee proposal highlighting all areas required for the design and approval process. Please note our initial meeting is free of charge.
Design Stage
Upon acceptance of fees we will book in a date to carry out our survey and discuss in greater details your design brief. This info allows us to start work on initial concept designs. We will then work with you to finalise the designs and once you are satisfied, we will then progress the design works through the various relevant council applications.
